Once home to a Native American tribe known as the Tewa (from which the institute gets its name), Tewa Institute is situated on Turquoise trail in Sandia Park, New Mexico. Urban Shamanism is not a religion. Urban Shamanism is a spiritual practice and an ancient form of personal development and healing pre-dating all known religions and philosophies. Doru Bittermann is a NYC based shamanic practitioner, a medical intuitive, and an ordained minister of The Circle of the Sacred Earth, Inc., a church of animism fostering shamanic principles and practices. This workshop provides a solid foundation for those less familiar with the shaman's path and will augment the practice of more experienced inner explorer.

The course is jam packed with a lot of experiential wisdom and knowledge that will enable the participants to reconnect with spirit helpers and teachers, ancestral spirits, local spirits and urban entities. This is a hands-on powerful spiritual practice tailored for urban peoples for use in healing, problem solving, self-discovery, and personal growth.

Note: Bring drums and rattles if you have them, a notebook, eyeshade, a light blanket, and a yoga mat/ floor cushion. Please refrain from using alcohol during the workshop.
